We believe Thomas Divide has not only captured the rustic smoky mountain charm in their community design they preserved it and created an idyllic setting to build a smoky mountain Vacation cabin.
We chose to build our vacation cabin here in this beautiful part of the smoky mountains over 30 years ago. The peaceful rustic pasture surrounded by scenic mountains, walk on access to hiking and riding trails in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park and short distance to the small town of Bryson City made every vacation here a perfect postcard in time. But when our neighbors “moved on” and their old property was to become the next new residential community in the smoky mountains, we feared the beauty and charm of our valley would be lost to modern over development. When we found out that our new neighbors ( The Settlement at Thomas Divide ) shared our same enthusiasm and appreciation for the smoky mountain outdoor lifestyle; our worries turned to excitement. Our new friends at Thomas Divide realized that their large well established pasture and beautiful mountain riding trails were the perfect countryside for horses and chose to build 28 acres of equine facilities. They also designed large acre plus lots to keep the forested appearance and the privacy of each homestead. They even restored the old farm house as an office/community center with real mountain character. We are truly thrilled that our neighbors at Thomas Divide chose to develop their new residential community in our valley and we are eager to meet the lucky neighbors that take advantage of the opportunity to join us in living the smoky mountain outdoor lifestyle.
