Fox Run is located inside a private development about 25 minutes from Bryson City. The drive to the cabin takes you along the scenic shores of the Little Tennessee River. There are several popular fishing spots along the way. This area has lots of outdoor adventure located nearby. Pontoon boat rentals, hiking, white water rafting, mountain biking, swimming, tubing, and lots more. Bryson City has lots of quaint shops and dining opportunities, as well as a depot to catch a ride on the Smoky Mountain Railway. Harrah’s Cherokee Casino and the entrance to the Great Smoky Mountains National Park is only a 10 minute drive past Bryson City.
From the wide gravel parking area, a few steps bring you up to the deck of this beautiful mountain home. The large front deck runs the full width and along one side of the cabin. Here a gas grill waits to cook up your favorite BBQ. The picnic table is a great place to enjoy your favorite meal in the fresh mountain air. Situated on the left side of the cabin is a large hot tub. Sinking into the warm massaging waters is a great way to end the day. Off of the side yard is a large fire pit area with plenty of seating. Roasting marshmallows and sharing stories will make it hard to go indoors at night. The back side of the cabin also has a small deck, its located just off the living room. Fox Run has several neighbors nearby, but it is a very quiet and peaceful area.
Stepping through the main entry on the front deck, this cabin spreads out into a beautiful open concept. To right of the front door is the kitchen which is very charming, featuring granite counter tops, warm wood tones, and is fully equipped with all cooking and dining utensils needed for preparing a meal in. Across to the living room area, you find comfortable seating around a stone fireplace with gas logs and a satellite TV. The small back deck can be accessed through the sliding glass doors in the living room. To the left of the front entry is the wide game room. It features a regulation size pool table across from large chalet windows which rise to high vaulted ceilings allowing light filtered through the mountain forest to fill this room creating a warm inviting space for friendly competitions. A hallway across from the pool table and chalet windows leads to a bath room and two bedrooms. The first door on the right is the full bath with a shower and tub combination. The door on the left opens to a beautiful queen size bedroom. The last door on the right opens to a comfortable room that features a log style full over twin bunk bed. Inside the closet across from the bunk bed, a rainy day surprise will keep the kids entertained so the adults can enjoy time together around the pool table. Hidden here are Wii and Xbox 360 game consoles connected to a flat screen TV. A few classic games are available to try but, please make sure to bring your kids favorite game disks with them. Though these games will often keep the kids entertained well into the night, we are sure that the challenge of catching fireflies out in the yard will drag them back out into the fresh North Carolina mountain air. At the far end of the game room, past the stairs to the upper level, a door leads out to the side deck and the large hot tub.
A set of stairs in the game room takes you up to the master suite. Private and quietly tucked away, you will have no problem relaxing in the comfortable king size bed. A large master bathroom is adjacent to this room. It features a large tub, perfect for a nice hot bubble bath, it also has a separate shower.
