The Cherokee NC location of this log cabin means that it is just a short drive from the Great Smoky Mountain National Park, downtown Cherokee and the Blue Ridge Parkway. Add paved roads and large parking areas, enough room for trailers, and you can see why Mountain View Estates of Cherokee is a favorite of bikers and everyone else who wants easy access to the major highways, all the local attractions and luxury accommodations. Bryson City is about a 10 minute scenic drive away. White water rafting on the Nantahala river is around a 25 minute ride through some of the most scenic roads of North Carolina. All the roads leading to and from this cabin are paved. Cherokee Cottage has a great mountain view from the large covered front porch and hot tub.

Exterior:
Cherokee Cottage is located in the home of the Cherokee Indians, but this log cabin is no pioneer era cabin. Cherokee Cottage is a real log cabin with the charm of a traditional log mountain home and all the luxuries of a modern home. From the paved parking area a set of stair on the left access the large covered front porch with gazebos on both ends. The first gazebos is to the left of the stairs. This is a great spot to enjoy the fresh mountain air dining out with the family. For a more quiet way to watch the mountain view, kill some time in one of the rocking chairs on the front covered porch. The gazebo on the far end of the porch is home to the most relaxing way to spend a quiet evening, soaking in the warm massaging waters of a covered outdoor hot tub. The front door is in about the middle of the front porch. A second set of steps from the parking area provide access to the cabins back door. The far end of the cabin features a fire pit area with natural log bench seating. Toasting marshmallows over the crackling flames in the cool evening air creates special memories you will always take with you. .

Entry Level:

Step through the entry of this cabin and you will know your cabin selection was perfect. Warm wood tones and charming black bears invite you into this lovely space. Vaulted ceilings and chalet windows allow for plenty of sunlight to stream into this great room. Its shared with the dining and kitchen area, allowing for a great atmosphere of entertaining. Ideal for a small family or group of friends. The living room has comfortable seating surrounding a stone gas fireplace. Watching the warm flames dance or a favorite movie from the satellite TV placed above the mantle makes lazy evenings even more cozy. The kitchen has black granite counter tops, stainless appliances, and plenty of work space for preparing delicious meals together. A couple of bar stools at the breakfast bar give extra seating along with the handcrafted dining table. From the kitchen there is an exit onto a small covered porch, a few steps lead down to the gas grill, close to the kitchen so heading outside to grill up a juicy steak is effortless. Back inside, a short hall from the great room leads past a half bath on the right, on the left a closet houses a washer and dryer. Next you enter the master suite. A very romantic space with a lush king size bed. Its placed so you can snuggle in and look out to the mountain view through the sliding glass doors on the left or watch the glow of a warm fire from the second gas fireplace. This space makes a perfect haven to escape and spend quality time with each other. There is also a satellite TV should you ever find a chance to watch it. A full size private bath with tub is adjacent to this room.

Upper Level / Loft:

Up the stairs from the great room you will find the other 2 bedrooms and another full bath with tub. Partially exposed to the living space below there is an open area with a futon for extra sleeping space for hanging out enjoying the game table. In the center walkway between the bedrooms is the bathroom. On the left side a queen size bedroom pulls you in with pleasing decor and space to settle in. On the right side a king size bedroom is waiting, with a large window overlooking the outdoor view. Both of these bedrooms have satellite TV, so bedtime offers privacy to unwind with everyone's favorite show. .

Thank you for sharing your cabin with our family. We celebrated Thanksgiving here, and it was the best ever. We had everything we needed in the kitchen to make our family feast. The cabin was big enough to give us all our space to relax but small enough to still be cozy. We loved the location, close enough to everything we wanted to see. The train trip was a lot of fun, Bryson City has some nice shops to visit. We enjoyed the train museum too. Thanks for the memories.

Wow! The fall colors are spectacular! We picked the perfect time to visit the mountains! We took so many pictures, can't wait to share with our friends when we get back home. The cabin was a great place to come back to and relax every evening. We enjoyed the time spent playing games, sitting in front of the fireplace and soaking in the hot tub. We wouldn't change a thing, the bear decor is adorable.
Thanks for sharing you home with us.

Loved the cabin and the area. Had a relaxing time. The cabin is comfortable and well maintained. We had everything we needed, the kitchen was perfect for cooking family meals. We enjoyed grilling out on the deck and chilling in the hot tub. We rented a pontoon boat and explored Fontana Lake. The kids enjoyed swimming and fishing. Wish we could stay longer!

Cherokee Cottage is a great place to stay, very clean and comfortable. Our family enjoyed the quite serenity of the mountains. Relaxing in the hot tub in the evenings and seeing the stars was magical. We loved hiking to the waterfalls on Deep Creek. The first one you come to has nice park benches, we could have sat there all day taking it in, beautiful. Something special about the mountains, it's like no other place we have visited. Our boys had a great time roasting marshmallows and catching lighting bugs around the cabin in the evenings. We took some day trips, Cherokee and Bryson City both have some hidden treasures, and are fun to explore. We hope to return soon, taking lasting memories back with us.

We really enjoyed our stay! You cabin home is beautiful. We enjoyed being outside and hearing the sounds of nature while rocking in the chairs or relaxing in the hot tub. We came here as an alternative to staying at the beach, and we are so glad we did! We enjoyed gem mining, driving on the parkway and seeing the Biltmore House.
